Can You Kill Fleas with an Ozone Generator?

Anyone who has a cat or dog understands the importance of keeping them healthy and happy. They’re a part of the family and should always be treated as such. Those aren’t the only pets that you can own, of course. There are birds, reptiles, and other mammals, too.

However, what we need to pay attention to are the fleas. Fleas are annoying, regardless of how you look at it. Not only do they bother our companions to the point of biting or violently scratching themselves, fleas can also jump on us and bite us. Fleas can carry diseases like Murine Typhus and even tapeworms.

You don’t want them around your home, so how do you get rid of them if you have it?

There are multiple ways, but you can use what you have around the house. One such way is an ozone generator. While it won’t replace a vet trip or even a pest control call, it is a good way to get rid of these little bugs. Running it over the course of a week will cause quite a change.

Some are killed, but most just leave. Fleas don’t live very long without a food source, so pumping a room full of ozone for a few hours a day over a week can have beneficial results. Make sure to not run an ozone generator while you or your pets are in the same room, though.
